Home Sweet Home

Ray Bunch, Chair for Day 15, bangs the drum to bring the IALP Class of 98 trip to a close.bunch-chair.jpg (43195 bytes)

Our South American adventure came to a close at 5:40 a.m. Thursday, March 19th when we arrived at Chicago O'Hare International. We were glad to be home in Illinois.
The memories from the IALP International seminar will be carried with us forever. A few of the images of our trading partners and competitors include:
The South American people, their countrysides, cities, culture, society and history.
Words from U.S. officials in Peru about the priority of dealing with the three D's: Drugs, Development, and Democracy.
Chile's diverse agriculture: vineyards, fruit & vegetable crops, seed corn, cattle and poultry.
Brazil's challenging high interest rates, heavy debt loads, lack of infrastructure, and the huge potential of their vast new frontiers.

We thank our families and co-workers for carrying the additional load while we were away. We thank our sponsors for their generous support for helping us gain a broad global social, political, and economic awareness and understanding of current and emerging world issues
